There are so many Disney and Pixar movies to choose from but which ones are focused on female characters and have female representation in their production? Here’s a list of ten!

Brave — Set in the Scottish Highlands, Princess Merida defies a custom and brings turmoil to her family’s kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida relies on her bravery and awesome archery skills to undo a curse.

Encanto — The Madrigal family live in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called an Encanto. Every child in the family has magic powers, except Mirabel. But when the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel might just be her family’s hope.

Finding Dory — Dory is reunited with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale?

Frozen II — Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven leave Arendelle to travel to the forest of an enchanted land to learn the truth about an ancient mystery of their kingdom and find the origin of Elsa’s powers.

Moana — In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain and his willful daughter’s island, she answers the Ocean’s call to seek out the demigod to set things right.

Mulan — To save her father from certain death in the army, a young woman secretly enlists in his place and becomes one of China’s greatest heroines in the process.

Raya and the Last Dragon — Long ago, in the world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. When an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, that same evil has returned and it’s up Raya to track down the last dragon to restore the land and its divided people.
